Children and teenagers can expect plenty of fun, games and good vibes at the Oberforsthof during their family skiing holidays in Austria. The family-friendly skiing region 'Ski Amadé' starts directly outside the hotel. For your children there is a ski school nearby including a ski-kindergarten. And if your little ones would like a break from skiing, then there is the children's play room available at the hotel during your winter holidays with the family.

Freestyling and snowboarding at the "betterpark" Alpendorf
The snow park is located beneath the 4-seat chair lift at the Gernkogel-Panorama cable car. The park is situated slope style with 3 different lines. At the spectacular Pro Line you can slide across downrails with Kicker and an 18m table. The Medium Line is for all those who want to style a little more relaxed during their skiing or snowboarding holidays, but who still want to experience a bit of 'air time'. And the Easy Line is a perfect place to get started with simple obstacles and rails. The Chill Area is the meeting point for all freestylers; here you can relax, chill, sit down in comfortable sun chairs and listen to music.

Tobogganing: great fun for your family ski holidays in Austria's Alpendorf
Tobogganing with friends or family is a fantastic alternative to skiing and a wonderful family experience during your Austrian winter holidays. St. Johann and the Alpendorf has two toboggan tracks available:

• St. Johann-Alpendorf
  Starting point is at the Alpenhof-Stadl. This toboggan track is approximately 1 kilometre long, floodlit and ends directly in Alpendorf
• St. Johann-Hahnbaum
  Starting point is the Hahnbaum Alm chalet. Length: approximately 3.5 kilometres, partially floodlit and ends directly in the St. Johann town centre.

Ice skating during your Austrian winter holidays: in St. Johann
For our small and tall guests St. Johann offers a fantastic ice skating rink from mid November until mid February, daily from 1:30pm until 4:00pm and also from 7:00pm until 9:00pm on Fridays and Saturdays. More information is available at the reception of Hotel Oberforsthof.
